" HOLIDAY GIFT IDEAS"
Charles Dickens classic "The Christmas Carol" published in 1843 is a great reminder for practicing charity and “keeping Christmas in our hearts” on every day of the year. To celebrate the spirit of Christ and the joy of life. What greater way to share this joy than with a gift. Gifts for the Western Culture of the Cowboys and Cowgirls.

was 1880 when Sam Lucchese Sr. and his brothers came to America.
Although he was just 17 years old, the young Lucchese had a vision for a
career in bootmaking, and just three years later, the Lucchese Boot
Company was established in San Antonio, Texas. The family's dedication
to its craft and to its customers kept the business alive, but it
wasn't until the early 1960s that the founder's grandson and namesake
decided to rethink the art of bootmaking. Prices good through Dec 20,

2011
was a big year at Lodge, with the launch of two new cookware lines.
Inviting a whole new audience to fall in love with Cast Iron, Lodge Elements combines premium Stainless Steel cookware with our traditional Cast Iron Skillet in one set. The Lodge Seasoned Steel
line features Carbon Steel skillets that are American-made and seasoned
at the Lodge foundry. We hope to advance the culinary lives of chefs
and campers alike with these brutally tough pans.
With
consumer demand now exceeding foundry capacity, Lodge has unveiled
plans for a considerable expansion of their South Pittsburg plant. These
will include new melting systems, sand systems, an additional molding
line, and expanded seasoning lines. We are excited to be able to grow to
new heights with our feet still firmly planted at home. Don't tell my wife, but she is getting the matching Blue Porcelain Skillet and Dutch Oven. Maybe she'll stop using our standard Lodge cast iron cookware off the chuckwagon as she does love the fine porcelain finish that will go wonderfully with her kitchen decor.
Number Two on the List:
A new FORD King Ranch Edition or Ford Mustang.
While other manufactures are barely back on their 4x4 feet and Nissan along with Toyota still decoding their big-pickup game plan, Ford is rolling out the most new F-150 has ever seen in its history: 4 engines, one transmission, significant chassis upgrades, and an instrument cluster that bares this truck's soul. To show serious intent, the F-150s even have new ignition keys that combine lock and remote-control functions in one convenient unit. Additionally, the smart part of Ford's comprehensive F-150 powertrain upgrade is that the Mustang shares two out of the four engines and a version of the new 6-speed automatic transmission and a very fuel efficient V6 engine also available.
I would like the new Ford Mustang-even though my 2003 only has 40,000 miles. Could use some new boots also.
ReplyDeleteOh, I know the feeling since the body change on the Ford Mustangs. They are an attractive car and really got pretty when they returned to the look of the 60's with that nostalgic flare. Merry Christmas everyone.
DeleteI am L.D.S. and do not drink coffee, but for me the best Christmas gift would be one of those big coffee pots and a tipping holder you have on the right side of your blog. I would always have it hot and ready for my guest when Dutch oven cooking for demos and classes. Merry Christmas to all, and good Dutch oven cookin'

Merry Christmas Ron. You can locate these coffee hangers through many different blacksmith's but one comes to mind is RK Blacksmith. Most of the large coffee pots have a second handle, although RK Blacksmith design theirs to fit any coffee pot that has the lower lip. He can direct you to one for selection. Check out his gear and the coffee pot tipper for a mere $15. http://www.ranvilh.com/camping.html
